Diamond Toons partnered with Foxstar Studios for 'Chacha Chaudhary and Mr. X' comic



New Delhi, 30th March, 2015: Diamond Toons, the publisher of the famous Chacha Chaudhary comic series have partnered with Fox Star Studios to integrate the comic-book on the upcoming sci-fi thriller movie starring Emraan Hashmi in and as Mr. X. The publisher would create a special edition integrating Chacha Chaudhary and Sabu with Mr. X – the special edition has been titled as Chacha Chaudhary and Mr. X will be released by Emraan Hashmi himself in Delhi. Produced by Vishesh Films and presented by Foxstar Studios, Mr. X will hit the screens on 17th April, 2015.
The comic will feature Emraan Hashmi as Mr. X, the invisible superhero with the man whose brain runs faster than a computer - Chacha Chaudhary and his giant companion Sabu from Jupiter resolving cases and combat criminals with Mr. X.  This exclusive edition of comic will be printed in 5 different languages – Hindi, English, Bengali, Marathi and Gujarati. The comic book with a print run of 5,00000 copies will be available PAN India before the movie release. Moreover, the comic will also be released on all mobile and digital platforms.
The classic character of Chacha Chaudhary is ubiquitous in memoir of every childhood and has touched emotions of millions of people across the country. From cricket to political issues, the comic has always covered day to day issues laced with fantastic satire and sense of humor. Being a cult brand, Chacha Chaudhary has built up a diverse fan following over the years. The idea behind this special edition is to reach out the same massive fan following of the legendary character Chacha Chaudhary, giving a strong platform to Mr. X to connect instantly to people in multiple languages and genres.
Diamond Toons is to distribute, own and have final creative and story board of the complete comic book. Earlier also, Chacha Chaudhary and Sabu have aligned with successful Bollywood movies like "Boss" with Akshay Kumar for the exclusive promotional campaigns. They were also roped in with IPL cricket team – the Delhi Daredevils for a special comic edition. However, this is the first time; a sci-fi superhero movie is being integrated with the Chacha Chaudhary comic story.

With over 400 published comic books and 200,000 drawings for his comics to his credit, Pran was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Comic Con in Delhi this year. The World Encyclopedia of Comics has anointed him the Walt Disney of India earlier in 2014. He was also awarded the People of the Year Award by the Limca Book of Records in 1995 for his contribution to the Indian Comic Industry. Despite all these recognitions, Pran’s single biggest achievement is the love of his regular readers that he has earned.
