Zoya did it once again and that too with perfection. 'Dil Dhadakne Do' is a family drama which focuses on the life and problems of a high class family, i.e. the 'Mehra' family. All the characters of the movie fits perfectly on the roles assigned. The main and the most important 'Mehra' of the movie, which is Anil Kapoor looks perfect as a Top business man of the country. The experiment with his hair colour (White hair) prooved to be a very good change according to his role(He was looking smart in his role).
The person who keeps the whole movie alive throughout is Ranveer Singh (He will make you laugh in even the most serious scenes). Ranveer did a brilliant job in playing the role of 'Kabir Mehra' (son of Anil kapoor). Ranveer's expressions and dialogue delivery is just simply awesome. where as PC (Priyanka Chopra) too compliments the other co-stars.
The story basically revolves around the life and problems of a high class family (The business minded parents).
Anil Kapoor plays the role of a top position businessman who plans to organise a cruise party on the occasion of his and his wife's 30th wedding anniversary. The role of his wife is played by 'Shefali Shah.' Their kids "Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer Singh" have problems in their lives as well (One wanted divorce, the other wanted Aeroplane).
In this whole 10 day long journey, the problems raises even more than earlier and a stage comes where all the happiness turns into sorrow.
In the end, some things happen because of which the family realises what mistakes they were doing and happily comes together. (Basically the parents were wrong always and the kids opposed this behavior of them)
'Farhan Akhtar' and 'Anoushka Sharma' were there as the supporting cast (Except the other countless supporting actors). Farhan was the first love of PC, where as Ranveer and Anoushka fell in love at first sight in the cruise.
The best part of the movie was that Zoya thought about even the smallest things of the movie like the year of anniversary. (Mostly people celebrate 25th anniversary but it won't have matched according to the age of their kids).
Another good thing of the movie was that inspite the family drama, zoya focused to show a love story of Hindu-Muslim i.e. 'Kabir and Farah' (Ranveer and Anoushka).
The movie is very long though it seemed as if the end was forcefully cut to manage the length under 3 hours.
"Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara" fans won't get disappointed from the movie at all.
It's been served properly in front of the audience. Ranveer Singh fans must see the movie for sure because once again he did a superb job in the movie.
